2013 Trends Part 2

We are back again with the second part of our top trends in wedding stationery for 2013.

If you still have time to think about your stationery yet, and you are stuck for inspiration, we are here to help.

Monograms

Monograms have always been a popular choice in wedding invitations, and 2013 will not be the year that this changes.

Couples can use the monogram to express their individuality, and even cultural heritage.  The beauty of the monogram invite is that it can be embellished with crystals for a touch of glamour.  A monogram can be the main feature of the invite, or can be added as a type of seal to a pocket-fold design.

This is a monogram added to a pocketfold invite.

Colours

For the past few years Cadbury Purple has been popular with brides, however we are seeing a return to other colours such as cornflower blue, soft lemon and pastel pink.

The colour of choice for weddings in 2013 is mint green which is a lovely soft spring/summer colour.

According to Pantone (the colour creators) the colour trends for 2013 are much softer and fresher than we saw in 2012.

If you love Cadbury Purple but want to be a little different why not try African Violet instead?

If you already have some idea of what you are looking for and you would like to get started on your stationery, or you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will help you in any way we can.

2013 Trends Part 1

Wow, 2013 is looking to be the year for weddings so far!  We have had brides coming in almost every day over the last week to discuss their wedding stationery.

If you still have time to think about your stationery yet, and you are stuck for inspiration, we are here to help with some of the top trends for 2013.

1920s
One of the big trends for 2013 is going to be inspired by the 1920s.  'The Great Gatsby' film due out this year will ensure that everything from invites through to hairstyles will be inspired by 1920s glamour.

Kearline Invites & More have already designed a 1920s jazz style invitation for a previous bride and groom.  We can adapt this design for you, or design something completely unique to you.

This particular design was an insert in one of our pocketfold invitations.  The bride chose a black pocketfold with white satin ribbon.

Ombré
Ombré is no longer just a hairstyle, now your wedding stationery can have that faded out look too!

While some gradient styles can be difficult to carry off in print, the Ombré style is a simple but effective way of achieving this.  One colour graduating from dark to light can achieve a lovely effect.  Alternatively, the same effect can be achieved with three different, but complimentary colours.

This design is part of our own range, and the simple design has been popular with our brides.  As you can see the darker and lighter pinks give the effect of fading out.

We hope that these two ideas have given you some inspiration for your own wedding stationery.  We will provide more ideas over the next few posts.

If you already have some idea of what you are looking for and you would like to get started on your stationery, or you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will help you in any way we can.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all of our readers!

2012 was a very busy year for Kearline Invites & More which unfortunately meant that we had little time to keep you all updated on what we were doing.

2013 looks to be a very busy year again, as we have already had our first couple come in for wedding stationery and we’ve only been back in work for two days!

If you got engaged over the Christmas/New Year period, or if you have decided that 2013 is the year you plan to tie the knot, then we would love to help you take some of the stress out of the planning by designing and printing your wedding stationery for you.  We would also like to help if you are planning a civil partnership or renewal of vows.

At Kearline Invites & More we are available Monday to Friday 10am ‘til 4pm to discuss your requirements.  Please call or email us to arrange a time that is convenient for you.  We will always have a cup of tea and a biscuit waiting for you.

With 2013 weddings in mind, over the next few posts we’d like to start by helping you to decide on a theme or colour scheme for your wedding, by showing you some of this year’s trends and how we can help you to implement them in your wedding.

In the meantime, if you already have an idea of what you want, or you need to get on with arranging your invitations a.s.a.p then please do not hesitate to contact us and we will help you in any way we can.
